KETO MOJITO
/Try this simple, hydrating keto mojito with no added sugar and few carbs to celebrate any occasion!
ONLY 2.6 grams of net carbohydrates per serving, this keto mojito is suitable for diabetics and everyone indulging in a low-carb lifestyle.
INGREDIENTS
LIME: Use just fresh lime. Use this method to squeeze the most juice out of your lime without using a lime juicer if yours is a little bit harder.
MONK FRUIT: My preferred keto sweetener for beverages is monk fruit, especially in a minty cocktail like this one. Monkfruit provides a distinctive mint flavor and a cooling impact that improves the original keto cocktail. Alternatives include adding the same quantity of allulose, erythritol, or a few drops of stevia.
FRESH MINT: I always prefer to use Apple Mint whenever I get the chance.
WHITE RUM: choose your favorite keto-friendly spirit with no carbohydrates.
SPARKLING WATER: club soda or soda water. The Pro move is to use a lime, Lacroix!
ICE: Cubed ice is the perfect addition resulting in a less diluted drink.
RELEASING LIME JUICE
First, muddle the mint and lime wedges with your preferred keto sweetener.
Use a durable bowl, such as a mortar bowl, jug, or other containers, because you will be firmly crushing lime wedges against the bowl.
To accomplish this, you'll use a pestle, the back of a wooden handle, or a wooden spoon.
To extract the most juice out of the lime wedges and mint leaves into the sweetener, I like to use a mortar and pestle.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE MOJITO
Now, add the lime wedges to the mixture that has been transferred from the bowl into a tall glass.
Then, use a straw or stick to swirl the contents together before adding the ice and white rum on top.
Fill the remainder of the glass with soda water. The drink tastes less sweet or powerful as you add more soda water.
